2020 Alkoomi Rosé

Product Description
Frankland River, Western Australia
Alkoomi Rosé is a beautiful dry rosé from the Frankland River region of Western Australia. For Sandy and Rod Hallett, together with their daughters and devoted team, Alkoomi is their heart, their home, and their passion. Their 1200-hectare farm has been home to the family since 1946 and has evolved from a grain and livestock farm to a thriving and sustainable vineyard and innovative winery.
Alkoomi Rosé is a blend of Petit Verdot (29%), Shiraz (27%), Grenache (23%), Tempranillo (17%) and Malbec (4%) harvested in the early morning hours. The fruit was destemmed and crushed into the press and immediately drained to tank in order to attain the desired color and flavor profile. After fermentation, the wine was left on yeast lees for 12 weeks before clarification and bottling.
Alkoomi Rosé is a brilliant pale salmon pink with hues of onion skin. It offers a beautiful nose of wild strawberry with notes of fresh herbs. On the palate, it shows flavors of wild strawberry and pomegranate, carried by a textural mouthfeel with a refreshing acidity.
Enjoy Alkoomi Rosé now and over the next 2-3 years as the perfect aperitif wine on the patio or by the pool. It pairs nicely with roast chicken, grilled shrimp, pasta salad, and mild cheeses.
