Ribera del Guadiana, Spain
Alange Tempranillo is a Spanish red wine gem from the beautiful Palacio Quemado estate located in the Extremadura DO of Ribera del Guadiana. Vinas de Alange is the winery created on this estate in 1999 by Bodega Alvear and the Losada Serra family.
100% Tempranillo, the grapes in Alange were picked at full maturity, early in the season compared with the rest of Spain. The wine was macerated slowly in temperature-controlled tanks and bottled young to retain the authentic, fresh and fruity flavor from the grape. The wine is deep garnet in color with some hints of violet on the rim. The nose is loaded with lovely spice aromas and hints of cherry and tobacco. On the palate it shows ripe dark fruits such as plum and blackberry. It is soft and long on the finish.
Enjoy Alange Tempranillo with grilled lamb, paella, spicy dishes, and tapas.
