Please call or e-mail to order.
Domaine le Couroulu Vacqueyras is a gorgeous red wine gem from the village of Vacqueyras in the southern Rhone region of France, situated between Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Gigondas. Le Couroulu is a 40-acre estate owned by winegrower Guy Ricard that consistently produces top-notch wines. The name Couroulu is the provencal name of the bird depicted on the label. This Cuvee Classique is a rich red blend of 65% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 15% Mourvedre. It received superb scores from the top critics: Tanzer 91 and Parker 92-94. Very limited!
Domaine le Couroulu Vacqueyras is dark purple in color with a gorgeous nose of blackberries, blueberries, cassis, lavender and Asian spices. Medium-full in body with a velvety texture and soft tannins, it is concentrated and rich on the palate with flavors of blackberries and blueberries. It is well balanced to enjoy over the next 7-8 years. This seductive red is long and spicy on the finish.
Enjoy Domaine le Couroulu Vacqueyras as an ideal accompaniment to lamb chops, skirt steak, daube provencal and grilled vegetables.
