PLEASE CALL OR E-MAIL TO ORDER.
Gilles Ferran Cotes du Rhone Les Sablieres is a beautiful red wine from the southern Rhone of France, a blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah. Winemaker Gilles Ferran grew up in the wine business and graduated first in his class from the school of enology at Montpellier. The name Les Sablieres refers to the sandy topsoil of the vineyards. The southern Rhone region features the Grenache varietal, typically blended with Syrah, Carignan and other grapes. The 2010 vintage for the southern Rhone region overall was yet another winner. This red wine gem reflects skillful winemaking in a great vintage!
Gilles Ferran Cotes du Rhone Les Sablieres is medium-full in body with soft tannins and a smooth mouthfeel. The wine is ruby/purple in color with rich aromas and flavors of black raspberry, black cherry, cassis, spice and mineral notes. It is well balanced to enjoy now and for the next 5-6 years. The finish is long and complex.
Enjoy Gilles Ferran Cotes du Rhone Les Sablieres with roast pork, BBQ ribs, steak, burgers and grilled vegetables.
