2012 Liaran Mencia Bierzo
Please email or call to order.
Liaran Mencia is a wonderful Spanish red wine gem from the region of Bierzo in the northwest of Spain. The grape varietal is 100% Mencia, sourced from 30-year-old vines grown at high altitudes.
Liaran Mencia is deep red-violet in color with a nose of raspberries, cherries, mineral and floral notes. Medium-full in body with soft tannins, the wine offers complex flavors of red berries, cherries and spice. It was aged for 3 months in oak. The wine has a long, smooth finish.
Enjoy Liaran Mencia over the next 5-6 years with roast lamb, coq au vin, paella, grilled vegetables and aged cheeses.
