2014 Otto's Constant Dream Pinot Noir
Marlborough, New Zealand
Otto’s Constant Dream Pinot Noir is our latest red wine discovery from New Zealand, sustainable and hand harvested off two vineyards located on a hillside in the heart of the Wairau Valley. The winemaker is Fiona Turner. Only 1,000 cases were produced.
Otto’s Constant Dream Pinot Noir is medium garnet in color with red fruit and lip smacking texture characteristic of Marlborough Pinot Noir. It shows elegant primary fruit characters--ripe plums, strawberry and cranberry, as well as leather, spice, pepper, and smoke. The wine was aged for 10 months in French oak barrels, 10% new. Already charming in its youth, this wine will continue to evolve with age. The finish is long and smooth, showing the unique minerality of its terroir.
Enjoy Otto’s Constant Dream Pinot Noir over the next 4-5 years with roast pork, rack of lamb, grilled salmon, ratatouille and aged cheeses.
