2011 Plowbuster Pinot Noir
Please call or e-mail.
Plowbuster Pinot Noir is produced in the red, boulder strewn soils within Oregon's Willamette Valley. The Plowbuster label is made by Carabella Vineyard, owned by winemaker and geologist Mike Hallock. Trained as a winemaker in Colorado, Hallock brought his tanks and equipment over the mountains on a flatbed for the first vintage in 1998. Plowbuster expresses the elegance, complexity and depth of Pinot Noir grown in the stoney soils of the Willamette Valley.
Plowbuster Pinot Noir is dark garnet in color with vibrant blackberry and brown spice on the nose. It offers some black cherry and cinnamon on the entry with soft tannins in the mid-palate and silky texture. Finishes nicely with a hint of minerality, making it a wonderful match with lamb chops glazed with a berry sauce.
Enjoy Plowbuster Pinot Noir now and over the next 4-6 years with grilled salmon, roast pork, grilled vegetables and cheeses.
