Wine Spectator 90 points!
Ravines Dry Riesling is a white wine gem for those who appreciate the noble Riesling grape. Wine Spectator named the 2012 vintage of this wine #33 of its Top 100 Wines of 2013, rating it 91 points! The New York Times cited it among 10 top dry Rieslings from the Finger Lakes in October 2013, calling it “clear, fresh and focused, with chalky mineral flavors.” This new 2016 vintage once again received 90-point scores from Wine Spectator! Ravines Wine Cellars sits on a hillside overlooking glacier-carved Keuka Lake in the Finger Lakes of upstate New York. The region is known for producing fresh, vibrant, food-friendly wines, like this one!
Ravines Dry Riesling is soft yellow-green in color with a beautiful nose of pear, apricot, apple, lime and fennel. Light-medium in body with a dry finish, the wine is beautifully balanced with lively acidity. It offers rich flavors of apricots, green apples, citrus and distinctive minerality. It was fermented in stainless steel, with no oak. This wine is elegant and refreshing with a long, clean finish.
Enjoy Ravines Dry Riesling over the next 2-3 years with pan-fried trout, grilled shrimp, fried chicken, and spicy Thai dishes.
