Alvear Pedro Ximenez Solera 1927 (375ml)
Product Description
Montilla-Moriles, Spain
Wine Advocate 98 points!
Alvear Pedro Ximenez Solera 1927 is a tasting sensation not to be missed by any wine lover who appreciates the beautiful richness of a well aged dessert wine. This gem comes from the lesser-known Montilla-Moriles region neighboring Jerez and Malaga in the south of Spain.
Robert Parker raved about this Spanish dessert wine in bestowing on it a 98-point rating. "The impressive 1927 Pedro Ximenez Solera, from a Solera begun nearly 80 years ago, boasts a dark amber color as well as an extraordinary nose of creme brulee, liquefied nuts, marmalade, and maple syrup. Huge and viscous, yet neither cloyingly sweet nor heavy, it is a profound effort priced unbelievably low. It is meant to be drunk alone at the end of a meal." Amazingly, it is really that good!
Enjoy Alvear Pedro Ximenez Solera 1927 as a dessert in itself or with fresh berries or a fruit tart.
