The name Traful is a Mapuche word that means "union" and specifically the union and connection with nature and all its transformations. Wine of course comes from grapes grown in nature and then transformed by nature into wine. Traful is also the name of a beautiful lake in Patagonia that is a very popular destination for holidays for Argentines and it is a lake full of delicious fish! This is a young fruit driven Malbec. The grapes ferment with native yeasts in stainless steel with gentle maceration. The fruit then spends 3 months in used large French oak vats ranging in size from 2,500-5,000 liters to gain some volume in the mouth and a touch of wood flavor before back into tank to age further before bottling.
Ecologically farmed with no herbicides or pesticides used. All vines are ungrafted and on original root stocks.
Enjoy Traful Malbec over the next 5-7 years with steak, burgers, grilled salmon, and rich vegetable dishes.
