South Africa

Amarula is a cream liqueur from South Africa made from the fruit of the Marula tree. The Marula tree only only grows in the warm, frost-free regions of subequatorial Africa, and is a sacred part of ancient African culture and ritual. It also plays an important role in nourishment for animals, sometimes nicknamed ”The Elephant Tree” because elephants will travel for miles to feast on its wild fruit. Like elephants, Marula trees are protected under South African law. Once each year, at the height of summer, the Marula trees bear their unique fruit. When the ripe, sweet scent fills the air, harvest begins. Members of local communities are an integral part of the process, carefully picking the fruit by hand and extracting the highly sought-after pulp.

To make Amarula cream liqueur, the fruit is fermented and double-distilled, then matured for two years in French oak casks before it’s blended with fresh cream and bottled.

Smooth and rounded, this rich liqueur exhibits sweet, nougaty caramel notes and a subtle citrus aroma. It’s full-bodied and creamy with hints of mango, vanilla and caramel.

Wonderful served over ice, it can also be enjoyed with coffee or as a cocktail ingredient.

Canada

Crystal Head Vodka is a collaboration of two highly creative spirits--Dan Aykroyd and John Alexander.

Launched in 2008, our original Crystal Head Vodka is crafted from locally sourced Canadian corn. It is distilled four times into a neutral grain spirit and blended with pristine water from Newfoundland, Canada. The vodka is filtered seven times, of which three are through layers of semi-precious crystals known as Herkimer diamonds.

Our iconic skull-shaped bottle is produced in Europe, where bits of crystal are melted into the glass to ensure absolute clarity.

On the nose–neutral grain aromas with a delicate touch of citrus. Silky smooth with a hint of sweetness and vanilla. Ending with a sweet, creamy finish.

Monterey County, California

Aged with 25% new French oak, Lyric Pinot Noir shows beautiful notes of fresh, strawberry and raspberry structured by fine tannins. It’s elegant and bright, with perfectly balanced acidity, fruit, and oak. A silky mouthfeel and lingering finish complete this expression of a true Pinot Noir.

Paso Robles, California 

Treana Cabernet Sauvignon is a beautiful expression of the Paso Robles region of California. Part of Hope Family Wines, “Treana is the sum of elements that influence our wines; the land that our family farms, the warm California sun that nurtures, and the cooling ocean breeze that balances. These elements combine to create the perfect growing conditions for our grapes. 

SEA- The Pacific Ocean sends cooling breezes in the late afternoons, causing large diurnal temperature shifts and preserving natural acidity in the grapes

SUN- An abundance of sunshine during the growing season provides warmth and idyllic growing conditions for growing wine grapes. 

SOIL- The Central Coast of California is home to some of the most unique and diverse soil types of any growing region in California”--Treana 

Treana is an excellent display of Paso Roble Cabernet. At first glance, this dark crimson wine sets the stage for the beautiful aromas of warm chocolate, roasted coffee and toasty cedar. On the palate, intense dark fruit and sweet vanilla combine with smoky-oak to give a long rich mouthfeel that finishes with balanced acidity and moderate, velvety tannins.

Jalisco, Mexico

Patron Cristalino is a celebration of our tequila mastery that has resulted in one of our most exquisite and anticipated innovations to date. Expertly handmade, Patron Cristalino is the finest cristalino because it has the finest starting point, Patron Anejo. Using the traditional method, we crush our oven-baked 100% Blue Weber agave with a volcanic tahona stone, releasing the sweet agave juices and fibers, which are then distilled twice and aged in four types of oak barrels for at least 12 months. We filter the aged tequila through American oak charcoal, resulting in a crystal-clear liquid that is full of taste. Finally, the liquid is rested in oak tanks for 30 days to produce the smoothest and sweetest finish. 

Japan

Gekkeikan Horin is a combination of fresh spring water, Yamada Nishiki rice (known as the 'king of sake rice'), Gohyakumangoku rice milled to 50%, and the skill of the sake master, resulting in this classic example of a Fushimi style Junmai Daiginjo. Horin has a delicately fruity nose, its subtle flavors are well-balanced, and it is exceptionally smooth with a long clean finish. Mild fruity aroma with delicate notes of over-ripe cantaloupe, honeydew and honeysuckle. Round and smooth on the palate, with a medium, creamy body. Finishes long and smooth, with a hint of pear.

Marlborough, New Zealand

Marlborough, on New Zealand’s South Island, is the most important wine region in the country and is known worldwide for its pungent and zesty Sauvignon Blanc wines. With some of the longest sunshine hours in the country, cooling maritime influences, and free-draining stony soils, Sauvignon Blanc thrives in this region.

Lot 2 was the second wine ever released by 90+ Cellars and is still one of our best-selling. The wine is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes are crushed, de-stemmed and cold soaked, prior to fermentation in stainless steel.

An expressive wine with pronounced fleshly grapefruit, white peach, passionfruit, and undertones of fresh cut grass. The mouth feel is crisp and clean with racy acidity, lively fruit, and a hint of minerality on the finish. The ever-popular New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc continues its run. Pair this wine with oysters or serve alongside your favorite spicy Asian takeout dish.

Sonoma County, California 

Caterwaul Wines is a partnership between Matt Hardin and Thomas Rivers Brown. Matt Hardin, a 6th generation Napa Valley resident, and farmer is owner and managing partner of Matthew Wallace Wines and Hardin-Clark Vineyard Management. Matt enjoys putting his expertise to work farming both ultra-premium grapes for his private clients and several sites that make up the base for the Caterwaul Napa bottling. Thomas Rivers Brown is considered one of the top winemakers in California and crafts some of Napa and Sonoma’s most sought-after wines (Schrader, Post Parade, Outpost and his own Rivers-Marie and Aston Estate). 

The fruit for this Sonoma County bottling was sourced from the southeast corner of Sonoma County, almost touching the Napa County line. We were awestruck when we had the opportunity to purchase such high-quality old vine Cabernet Sauvignon from a site defined by gravelly loam soils in the shadow of Mount Saint Helena. 

Caterwaul Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma is sourced from an old-vine vineyard just over the Napa County line on the backside of Mount Saint Helena, our Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon continues to produce a complex wine. Ruby red color on the edges quickly plunges into a dark crimson. Fresh-crushed bright raspberry, dark plum, and black tea leap from elevated aromatics. On the palate this wine pulls no punches. A weighty, expressive mouthfeel shows structure and complexity across the tasting experience. Chewy tannins frame notes of dark cherry, sandalwood, blackcurrant, and dried herbes de Provence. The depth of the mid-palate creates a runway for a long, seamless finish. A brightness on the back end shows the balance of the vintage and ties to initial aromatics, completing the circuit and signaling time for the next sip. We hope to pass along the quality and value given by this unique site in this special bottling. Aged for 18 months in barrel; 100% French oak - 50% new.
